I have taken to drinking out of dimples a bit recently the beer certainly presents differently.Kieran Haslett-Moorehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04562970144894398803noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2743871471433418538.post-23482818797420314542009-01-20T14:01:00.000-08:002009-01-20T14:01:00.000-08:00I agree about the S04. My last ale with it was tart as hell and the hops vanished.

Liquid strains are very useful especially when you tinker with pitching rates.

I'm a fan of the dimpled mug myself. Always look forward to trying your beers...

I'm playing with invert sugar. It's simple but I'm not sure if it is necessary... how do you add your sugar?

To wurst: I find S04 good for anything malty and reasonably 'big' (4.5%+) but I wouldn't use if for anything subtle or for anything where I want to show off hop flavour/aroma. it does dull a beer a little.

Cheers
StuStu as "Stu"https://www.blogger.com/profile/18149338083993651285noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2743871471433418538.post-30481680968438606392009-01-19T13:14:00.000-08:002009-01-19T13:14:00.000-08:00Why a dimpled jug?Why a dimpled jug?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2743871471433418538.post-86603349713960374482009-01-19T11:28:00.000-08:002009-01-19T11:28:00.000-08:00It's looking very nice there Kieran. I use White Labs Burton Ale now for all English beers. The results are mind bending.Whorsthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01784943453195129865noreply@blogger.com
