Boxing Day Brew

What better way to spend a wet rainy Boxing Day than drinking the left over Landlord and Broadside, brewing a batch of O.S.B. and watching Midsomer Murder dvd’s?

That looks like a hell of a view you have there Kieran, hope the brew went well. I'm not so sure about the Midsomer Murders DVD though!

It is nice, lots of green here.

Come on! murder mystery, larger than life characters, idealised country pubs! Midsomer is awsome.

Midsomer is great except for the disproportionately high chance of meeting an untimely and grizzly death hahahaha! Have you seen any Bergerac at all? That's another detective John Nettles played.

Do you guys get any Inspector Morse in your hemisphere? Morse and Lewis seem to spend most of their time in a pub of some description, I don't think I've ever seen Morse pay for a pint yet.

Yep, Bergerac was a favorate of my childhood.
and yep Morse is pretty good to,

Our TV is progressivly become more American 'reality' tv dominated so I find my self hunting out decent stuff on dvd.

I have been loving old All Creatures Great and Small to, first series has the pub serving ale stright from the cask into jugs, no beer engine,, no sparkler, in Yorkshire!!

All Creatures Great and Small reminds me of watching the TV when I was a kid. It is filmed just up the road (20 - 30 miles away) from me, it truly is Gods own country.

My folks have a static caravan in the middle of nowhere by up there and I still borrow it for the odd weekend now! If you could see it you'd understand why I've never been on a plane before!

That's the most romantic view of Happy Valley that I've ever seen. Very 'West Coast'.

Technically its still Brooklyn down here. Either way I like it , has its charms. If we dont count the bank manager its 'My' little slice of paradise.

Midsomer is awesome! My wife and i checked out a couple of the villages (and their pubs) on our honeymoon, it was a great laugh! Just had a trip up Greig's and tried his homebrew....bloody brilliant stuff!!!

My wife finds it odd that I comment on the method of dispense when watching all creatures great and small! She claims that I really only pay attention when they are in the pub.

My flatmates know that Pub scene will always go frame by frame so I can see whats on the pump clips.
